Davies part 1

I hate scanning drawings in color because my scanner will make pencil drawings look all green and weird.

Ray Davies of the Kinks has wrote more personal songs than anyone else I listen to. You can get a sense of knowing about him and his brother (Dave) just by listening to the songs. I’ve also gotten the feeling that some of his personality shows in his eyes. I was trying to bring some of that out in this picture. The idea for the background was taken from the cover of “Something Else”… it just seems to fit him. Named part 1 because this is part of some 'themed' drawings I'm doing of the Davies brothers.
